baked salmon with BBQ mustard sauce
This easy, quick and delicious meal will soon become a staple. Omega-rich salmon cooks to perfection in just 10 minutes, and the simple, homemade onion BBQ sauce is low in sugar. This meal pairs well with just about any grilled vegetable or rice pilaf!
- 4 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 packets artificial sweetener
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 green onion, sliced diagonally
- 4-4 ounce salmon steaks or fillets
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Small saucepan
- Mixing spoon
- Measuring spoons
- Baking Sheet
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
To make sauce, combine vinegar, sweetener, and mustard in small saucepan. Blend in cornstarch. Cook stirring over medium heat until mixture just boils and gets thick. Take off heat and add juice and onion. Keep warm until ready to serve.
Place salmon on baking sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily. Spoon sauce and paprika over each piece of salmon before serving.
